“Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.” -Robert Frost
After earning my degree in education from the University of South Carolina, I became a teacher. Shortly after, my first child was born and I decided to devote my time to him. Later my second child came into the world, and since then one of my life’s greatest pleasures has been homeschooling.
I decided I wanted to be a writer when I was fifteen years old in the tenth grade, but life got in the way. I wrote my first romance novel when I was thirty-five and spent the twenty years interim reading.
At sixteen, I picked up a copy of A Walk with Love and Death by Hans Koningsberger from the local Goodwill. I had no idea what I was buying at the time, only that it called to me. After that I never looked back. I fell in love with Jane Eyre, Rebecca, Wuthering Heights, then every Jane Austen novel.
Romance novels became my chosen form of reading and remain still. And I still pick up romance novels from the local Goodwill. There’s also a great local feed and seed store here whose free library keeps me in novels. I love it!
In these pages you will find the books that I have written for myself. My goal in writing fiction is always to write books that I would enjoy reading. As a result of putting these stories together, I have found enormous personal growth and healing from that part of my life that got in my way.
I love animals and animal communication. You’ll find that I include animals in all of my stories because I believe that life without the mystical is boring!😄
